Twin D3 Install in Norfolk, NY
DWT closes out 2023 with a twin D3 install at a local farm in Norfolk, NY this week. Many, many thanks to all our customers for a great 2023 year! We are looking forward to some unique installs coming in 2024 with some new customers, both local and distant, and even a really big customer we can't wait to announce! Happy New Year!
SUNY ESF Retrofit
It was a beautiful fall day to retrofit an old turbine site at the SUNY-ESF wind turbine site, south of Syracuse NY. Their old turbine had not been running for years and DWT was able to re-use the old tower structure to put the D3 at 70 feet, A big thanks to Castle Energy, LLC for the installation and expertise. They are one of our mid-west installers and offered to come out and help with the retro-fit.
SUNY Canton Installs 3 D3s
Our largest turbine install to date, DWT put up three D3 turbines at SUNY Canton this past week. Another big "Thanks" to Castle Energy for their install expertise! Looking forward to putting energy into the campus as they undergo renovations of their admissions center, French Hall.
SUNY Canton Install Prep
DWT is preparing to install turbines at the State University of New York campus this summer. Three D3 units on 12 m towers will be installed and tied into the admissions facility, French Hall. Stay tuned for more exciting install pics!
DWT is Awarded a COE Development Grant
The Syracuse Center of Excellence has awarded 4 startup companies in New York with a development grant and DWT was chosen to be one of the recipients.
DWT at FISCU Games
DWT has been asked to provide renewable energy to the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games on January 12-22, 2023. More information in the coming weeks! For more info on the games themselves:
SUNY Potsdam Install
DWT installed a D3 turbine on a 12m tower at SUNY Potsdam yesterday. The state university is planning using the turbine to offset electrical consumption and as a teaching tool in their sustainability curriculum. Data will be logged and displayable using a system currently under development at Clarkson University.
